Job Description
Provide technical and administrative supervision to union and non-union employees, subordinate superintendents and others as directed. Perform general functions inherent in a supervisory position, schedule work to be performed, implement sound construction means and methods, and monitor progress and activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules. Responsible for the implementation of safety and security policies, procedures, and instructions for field/project operations.
• Supervise field/project operations, including utilities and production.
• Provide technical and administrative supervision to employees, foremen and others as directed.
• Ensure operational activities are in compliance with specifications and that they are on schedule and within budget.
• Perform general functions inherent in a supervisory position.
• Conduct and review performance evaluations of assigned staff.
• Determine and recommend appropriate project labor and equipment resources.
• Assist in the preparation of operational manuals and procedures which govern field/project operations and monitors adherence to same.
• Responsible for the implementation of safety and security policies, procedures and instructions for field/project operations.
• Ensure that all state and federal codes, requirements, and standards are complied with. 
• Prepare progress and expenditure forecasts and other operational reports as required. 
• Coordinate field/project operational activities and provide technical input to project personnel and representatives of the client when instructed by the responsible manager. 
• Monitor the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules. 
• Implement approved training programs for designated personnel to ensure progressive training. 
• Monitor labor relations within the assigned area.
• Ensure monitoring of daily work practices to ensure compliance with established programs and applicable State and Federal regulations.
• Collaborate in developing and documenting the project scope, work plans, budget, and overall schedule.
• Keep Project Manager informed of status, deviations, and plans.
• Anticipate potential problem areas and analyzes and recommends solutions or corrective actions.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Communication – ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, operating instructions and correspondence. Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly on a basic and technical level.
• Skills – ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
• Reasoning – ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. 

• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements of the fingers, hands, wrists and arms.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to participate in physically demanding work while wearing personnel protective equipment including respiratory protection. Medically qualified to wear a respirator.
