Job Description
The Payroll Specialist position will be responsible for the following duties:  

Maintain, audit and quality check employee attendance records for compliance with established standards 
Maintain and update employee payroll records 
Ensure that weekly employee payroll processing is in compliance with federal and state laws 
Review payroll reports and timesheets for corrections before payroll transactions 
Ensure that employee payroll is processed accurately and timely
Oversee salary changes, compensations, deductions, bonus, vacations payouts, and benefit deductions for employees 
Prepare and file tax reports for multiple companies as required 
Respond to payroll queries from employees in a timely manner
Provide assorted reports to management team as requested 
Scan, file, & process records and other duties, as assigned
Microsoft Excel, computerized payroll, knowledge of payroll taxes, etc.

Preferred:  Associates degree or Business/Accounting certificate, Payroll certification desirable.  Experience in California payroll highly desirable. Minimum:  High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and 2 or more year's payroll and Human Resource related experience.
