Job Responsibilities
North Wind Group is currently seeking a Performance Assurance Specialist to support North Wind Projects nationwide,

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Performance Assurance Specialist will advise and assist the Manager of Performance Assurance in the development, implementation and assessment of quality, safety, contractual, conduct of operations, and regulatory requirements on projects. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Support implementation, and provide oversight of quality, safety, contractual, conduct of operations, and regulatory requirements and standards for projects as assigned by the Manager of Performance Assurance. 
  • Support Due Diligence on contract transition and M&A projects.
  • Perform systematic assessment of site conditions and contract requirements. Clients include DOE, DOD, and EPA. Regulators include OSHA, EPA, and various federal and State agencies. 
  • Provide support for Project Start-up and Project-Shut down teams
  • Conduct internal audits as well as support customer and agency audits. 
  • Facilitate multiple improvement teams in applying quality tools and techniques to achieve results (i.e., Six Sigma). 
  • Provide process improvement know how, methods and conceptual expertise to teams. 
  • Support other assignments related to project management, as requested. 
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • In-depth knowledge of business systems, policies and procedures and the ability to apply that knowledge to the interpretation of customer requirements. Familiarity with government quality systems and processes.
  • Experience with quality tools.
  • Experience using corrective action plan tools and techniques.
  • Experience with scheduling tools such as Primavera
  • Working knowledge of US Federal (EPA, OSHA, DoT, DOE) and DoD Environmental regulations and reporting procedures for environmental and safety, including but not limited to RCRA, CERCLA, CAA, CWA, TSCA, OSHA etc.
  • Certification as a Lead Auditor desired.

     

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must have demonstrated ability to form reasonable, independent judgments and interpret requirements to balance needs of production, and safety.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff, and client as well as outside business associates.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively present information and respond effectively and sensitively to questions from client, managers, and staff.
  • High degree of sensitivity regarding confidential client and employee information.
  • Ability to advocate and enforce Company policies, procedures and employee programs.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and make decisions, solve problems, exercise good judgment, work under pressure, work with minimal supervision and prioritize workload.
  • Superior organizational abilities.
  • Ability to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment essential.
  • PC-based computing experience (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) essential.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented tasks.
  • Strong business acumen, judgment and maturity with the ability to differentiate between strategic and non-strategic opportunities.
