Job Description
General Function
Journeyman Electrician – Advanced electrical installation, troubleshooting, construction and maintenance skills; thorough knowledge of electrical codes, and safe use of power tools and trade hand tools; specification review and analysis, submittals; take offs; obtaining quotes from suppliers
Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities)
1.
Coordination and management of subcontracts.
2.
Preparation of submittals.
3.
Coordination with field superintendents and craftsmen.
4.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Abilities
•
Must be able to work in a high-volume environment.
•
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work professionally and courteously with all levels of personnel.
•
Good organizational and follow-up skills and be detailed oriented. Must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
•
Good oral and written communications skills including
•
Ability to work independently as well as a team.
•
Potential or ability to run a 2-6 man crew.
•
Ability to work under strict deadlines with respect to cost estimates.

Experience in Controls and special systems to include fire alarm.
•
Power generation experience preferred.
•
Any combination of experience and education that demonstrates the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
