Job Responsibilities
The Senior Archaeologist primary responsibilities will be to manage projects, conduct archaeological research, and to assist with proposal preparation and business development. Demonstrated knowledge of the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Archaeological Documentation and implementation of Archaeological Resources Protection Act, and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act is required.  Candidate will coordinate with client and regulatory project stakeholders with development and implementation of project strategies and provide mentorship to junior level staff in the areas of project planning, execution, and management.   Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated research interest in the Pacific Northwest.

 
Qualifications 
Previous history of holding archaeological permits for federal agencies in multiple western states is required, as is the demonstrated ability to manage complex archaeological projects.  Must be able to gain security access to government facilities. A minimum of a Master's Degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Anthropology, Archaeology or closely related field and a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in cultural resources management are required.
