Job Description
Weldin Construction, LLC is currently seeking a Superintendent to support work in the Savannah, GA area.

The Superintendent is responsible for providing on-site supervision of construction personnel and subcontractors.  The Superintendent will submit detailed progress reports, schedules and coordinate subcontractors and material suppliers. The Superintendent will attend all status meetings, site visits and pre-final/final inspections. The superintendent, in coordination with the Safety Manager, will be onsite to perform safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, and safety enforcement. The superintendent must control all aspects of the project site to achieve the final product, quality, and schedule. The superintendent is a point of contact for safety and enforcement of all safety regulations and policies.
Education:  A graduate of an accredited technical school in an appropriate field of study relating to the construction trade, equitable qualifications through a recognized union in the construction trades arena, or current or former licensed owner/operator of a business specializing in the construction field.

Experience: Possess minimum of the following qualification: A minimum of five (5) years experience in the construction field with a minimum of three (3) years experience in a supervisory position. A summary of this experience shall indicate the candidate for the superintendent position possesses the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. The candidate shall show evidence of journeyman level experience in construction. Supervisory experience may run concurrent with general construction experience.

OSHA 30 hour
Working Knowledge of the Gordian Group Software
Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) preferred, but not required
Medium physical workload.
Employee must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.  Also required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
Specific physical requirements include, but are not limited to, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions.  Maintain equilibrium to prevent falling when moving, walking, standing, kneeling or crouching – particularly on narrow, uneven, irregular, slippery surfaces, going up or down ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps poles or other objects using hands, arms, feet or legs.
The worker is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions, noise sufficient to cause the worker to shout.  The worker is subject to a variety of physical conditions, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electric current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions – fumes, odors, dusts, mist, gases or poor ventilation

Gathers all information necessary to create, monitor, and modify the progress schedule on a continuing bases
Identifies field-construction and work-sequence considerations when finalizing bid package purchases
Enforces all regulatory, base and company specific safety rules
Significant experience with earned value reporting and baseline management
Demonstrated ability to work accurately, follow procedures and schedules, and prioritize multiple tasks
Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Projects) 
Ability to work in a team environment and fit in with company culture and processes 
Effective professional oral and written communication skills
Must possess a strong work ethic and values that are above-reproach 
Strong organizational, interpersonal skills
