Job Responsibilities
Performs project management responsibilities, with emphasis on mechanical systems, on small projects, multiple task orders, or on an assigned segment of a larger project, including coordination of design, procurement, and construction activities. When assigned to only a segment of a larger project, this role develops a complete understanding of the contract and any relevant subcontracts in order to provide full support to the overall project management team. The PM (I) will manage, plan, and coordinate, with the superintendent, all activities of the project to ensure that goals and/or objectives of projects are accomplished within the project time frame and budget. This position may also be tasked with estimating functions for mechanical systems, responsible for directing the cost estimate effort on a major project or on multiple small projects.

?Reviews project proposal/plan with Superintendent to determine time frame, funding limitations, staffing requirements, self-performance or subcontract
Organizes and oversees jobsite administration and field supervision
Assists in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
Monitors the progress schedule and its periodic revisions ensuring project stays on track
Ensures site safety is at the forefront of each project
Works with the Superintendent to identify and resolve any project related issues/changes
Develops long term schedule, goals and projections for projects
Establishes and maintains relationships with the owner, design professionals, building officials, local businesses, and emergency support
Prepares project budgets and cost codes
Prepares project reports, financial updates, and scorecards for management, client, and others
Prepares and submits Design Clarification / Verification Requests (DCVR) and change orders
Develops project schedule with the Superintendent
Performs and/or manages project scheduling, scoping, clarifying, and pricing effort for assigned preconstruction projects
Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Projects, SharePoint)

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
At least eight years of relevant construction supervision experience. Relevant experience includes, but not limited to, experience as Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer or Specialist, or a project role of significant capacity such as Project Controls Lead, Contracts Lead, etc. Demonstration of successful performance as an assistant Project Manager or senior project engineer on small to medium sized projects may also qualify.
OSHA 30-hour safety required
OSHA 40-hour hazardous waste operations and response (HAZWOPER) and 8-hour HAZWOPER Supervisor training strongly preferred
Training as a DoD Quality Control Systems Manager and/or Safety Manager will receive greater consideration
Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification preferred
