Job Description
North Wind Solutions, a CIRI company, is seeking an Administrative Assistant in Suffolk, VA

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical, clerical and administrative support across a variety of mission areas to provide Joint Staff and its subordinate Joint activities with the capability to meet both existing and emerging requirements.
  • Prepare & distribute agendas & minutes of meetings & conferences.
  • Maintain & update files & logs, including action item tracking, correspondence tracking, & other tracking to facilitate programs planning, mgmt. records monitoring, & status reporting.
  • Prepare & review travel authorizations, coordinate travel arrangements, review travel vouchers prior to approval & payment, & resolve travel related issues. Prepare messages in support of overseas travel.  Serve as Defense Travel System Reviewing Official.
  • Prepare official correspondence, arrange travel plans and reservations, assist in the preparation of briefing documents, review travel requests, authenticate and process travel orders and settlement of travel related claims in compliance with governing regulations.
  • Coordinate program review meetings including arranging for facilities and equipment, develop agendas, prepare attendance lists, and record and publish minutes of meetings.
  • Attend and participate in program related meetings and reviews. Compile information packages to support conferences and meetings as required. Prepare draft agendas, minutes, reports, action item lists, and decision memoranda. Maintain records for easy retrieval and reference.
  • Maintain office calendars, schedule meetings, conferences & appointments. Schedule ceremonies for awards, promotions, retirements, etc. Manage & analyze schedules as required.  Maintain daily availability reports & all rosters.

Requirements: High School Diploma and 4 years of experience. Must be proficient with all Microsoft Office Suites.

Secret Clearance Required.
