North Wind Construction Services is currently seeking a Field Quality Representative to join our team in Oak Ridge, TN!



Assist with all aspects of implementation of the corporate and project Quality Assurance Program. This includes reviewing, updating, and maintaining the suite of quality assurance procedures, reviewing contract quality requirements, developing project-specific quality plans, and performing as the Field Quality Representative to assist the Quality Manager with quality requirements. Assist with the maintenance of corporate QA systems and databases such as Nonconformance Logs, tracking Corrective Actions to closure, maintaining the Measuring & Test Equipment program.


  • Perform all assigned work activities safely in compliance with established work plans, procedures, and instructions
  • Assist QA Manager administering corporate and project specific QA program
  • Perform receipt inspections, field inspections, surveillances, and assessments to determine compliance with established criteria under the direction of the Quality Manager
  • Clearly communicate results of activities verbally and in writing
  • Enter data and maintain ESH&Q databases such as NCRs, Corrective Action, and Receipt Inspection
  • Complete routine forms and maintain project records
  • Approach assigned tasks with attention to detail, and possess a questioning attitude
  • Support development of work control packages and inspection and test plans
  • Inspect construction in progress and verify adherence to design specifications (including Factory Acceptance and Source Inspections)
  • Document and report non-conformance to project design specifications and help facilitate Corrective Action when applicable
  • Schedule, plan and perform audits, surveillances and supplier evaluations
  • Assist with quality procurement reviews for items and services

  • Must possess a working knowledge of relevant quality assurance program requirements
  • Must have a good understanding and knowledge of quality concepts and practices, be thoroughly familiar with codes, standards, and regulations as they apply to various types of projects or work activities
  • Core competencies for this position are communication, problem solving, adaptability, judgment, collaboration, leadership and decision making


Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience: 5 years of construction related quality experience

Preferred: Bachelor degree in Engineering or related science or equivalent; Prior records management and database use preferred; Experience with ISO 9001 or NQA-1 quality programs, processes, and procedures; Experience working on Department of Energy projects.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
