Job Description

Weldin Construction is seeking a Construction Laborer in Omaha, NB.

The Construction Laborer will perform manual and skilled labor tasks such as collecting debris from work site, and using tools and equipment such as: hand tools, hand held power tools, and small-mechanized equipment to provide labor support on a variety of construction projects.  May tend pumps, compressors and generators, and build forms for pouring concrete.  Erect and disassemble scaffolding and other temporary structures.  Load, unload, identify, and distribute building materials to the appropriate location according to project plans.

• Able to understand written and verbal directives
• Read and understand safety policies and procedures
• Safely execute work assignments
• Notify appropriate personnel of issues needing management attention.
• Follow North Wind and client procedures.
• May be required to maintain work log or other project paperwork, as applicable.
• Maintain contemporaneous timesheets and submit on a weekly basis.
• Work independently or with others on a crew to complete daily assignments.


 Laborer I: High School Equivalency in reading, writing and math.
 Laborer II: High School Equivalency and up to 2 years relevant construction experience.
 Laborer III: High School Equivalency and minimum 2-4 years relevant construction experience.
 Laborer IV: High School Equivalency and minimum 4-6 years relevant construction experience.
Familiar with site safety program and training requirements
Ability to work well with others and take direction from others
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.



The majority of the work will involve manual labor tasks and require regular lifting or carrying of 50 pounds or more.  Typically requires working in outdoor conditions and possibly in inclement weather.
