Job Description
North Wind Infrastructure & Technology is seeking a Building Information Model Manager and expand our digital design capabilities to provide our customers with high-quality, dynamic, data-based designs and engineering products. You will use your leadership, knowledge, and vision to grow our business and expand our digital-design infrastructure in the manner that you have always envisioned for a design/drafting organization.  You will report to the Engineering Manager and manage the BIM design/drafting personnel and processes.
Qualifications
  • Set up and Implement the latest design software on projects i.e. Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks.
  • Set up and Implement the latest cloud-based collaboration systems on projects i.e. BIM 360, ProjectWise.
  • Proactively review and evaluate automation software to see how they can be used efficiently on projects.
  • Participate in our design transformation effort to develop efficient company workflows and processes and recommend the adoption and / or development of tools to help these workflows and processes.
  • Measure and evidence how technology, people, process and policies are being used to benefit projects and the business
  • Coordinate template management/updates for Revit as well as other BIM and Digital Engineering tools.
  • Undertake regular project auditing across regional offices to ensure adherence to digital strategy and North Wind protocols.
  • Provide regular reporting on BIM status to engineering manager.
  • Lead the deployment of all aspects of the BIM digital strategy across the North Wind companies.
  • Work with regional managers to ensure digital strategy is aligned to business objectives including, but not limited to, assessing skills/resource capacity and gaps and data management and security.
  • Manage BIM related skills gaps and identify requirements for improvement and opportunities for growth across all skill levels within the North Wind regions.
  • Support bid submissions in relation to BIM and digital engineering delivery and support regional teams to develop wider capability in completing high quality bid submissions.
  • Develop & maintain capability statements to support bid submissions.
  • Seek out opportunities with potential clients for providing expertise advice with organizational BIM strategies.
  • Seek opportunities to present at industry conferences.
  • Build and maintain networks with engineering leads across the wider North Wind companies.
  • Stay informed of digital tools developments within the wider business and identify opportunities for transfer of tools, knowledge, and skills.
