Job Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor the electronic security systems and closed circuit television.
  • Perform analysis and assessment of the alerts from the security system and notify proper authorities.
  • Conduct site security checks on critical assets and sensitive compartmented information facility zones such as open storage classified areas, communications security facilities and the armory.
  • Monitor the security cameras in the parking lot for activity and or suspicious behavior.
  • Notify emergency services, fire, and military or civilian law enforcement as needed
  • Check all Lenel Security system equipment for proper operation; run an alarm status report; check the computer for current problems displayed; check the Digital Video Recorders (DVR) are on line and functioning. Run digital recording for previous tour and check for any problems or irregularities when noted; log all discrepancies on electronic log book.
  • Provide an Equipment Status Report.

 Other

 High school graduate or possess the equivalent GED.

  • Minimum age requirement of 21 years (may be waived for veteran of military service and active duty military personnel).
  • Must be a US citizen and speak fluent English.
  • Ability to read and write in English reports effectively with factual data.
  • Final secret clearance required.

 Location: Norfolk, VA

Hours: Saturday and Sunday 4 p.m. – midnight. May be required to fill in as needed Monday through Friday as well. The ability to work a flexible schedule is a plus.
