Job Description
The Superintendent is responsible for the supervision of all field activities related to the physical construction in the Omaha, NE office. The superintendent must control all aspects of the project site to achieve the final product, quality, and schedule. The superintendent is the direct point of contact for safety and enforcement of all safety regulations and policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Generates, secures, or otherwise confirms all information needed to create, monitor, and modify the progress schedule on a
continuing basis
Gives input regarding project estimates for future work
Develops the progress schedule with the Project Manager or Operations Manager
Participates in scope reviews of the various bid packages to properly coordinate their respective interfaces and ensure nothing has
been missed  
Works with the Project Manager to develop and administer the site utilization program, site services, security arrangements, and other
facilities and arrangements necessary for appropriate service to the construction effort
Identifies field-construction and work-sequence considerations when finalizing bid package purchases
Monitors actual versus required performance by all parties
Complete oversight of all subcontractors ensuring workforce size, hours worked, etc. is sufficient to support contract requirements
Establishes a punch list and close-out procedures list
Ensures all subcontracts, material purchases, submittals, deliveries, clarifications, and changes are processed on time and comply
with contract requirements
Prepares daily reports, job diaries, narratives, and all other documentation as determined by the company and by the project needs
Enforces all regulatory, base and company specific safety rules
Performs job site inspections for both quality and safety

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field a plus.


Possess at least seven (7) years’ experience employed with a general contractor, with at least five (5) years of service dedicated to the execution of construction projects.  Hands on experience in a trade (carpenter, electrician, etc.) and experience with Department of Defense projects preferred.  A combination of experience and education that demonstrates the required skills, knowledge, and abilities will be considered.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

OSHA 30 hour preferred
Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) preferred, but not required
Ability to operated construction equipment (Gathers all information necessary to create, monitor, and modify the progress schedule
on a continuing bases
Identifies field-construction and work-sequence considerations when finalizing bid package purchases
Enforces all regulatory, base and company specific safety rules
Experience with cost and schedule reporting and management
Demonstrated ability to work accurately, follow procedures and schedules, and prioritize multiple tasks
Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel) 
Ability to work in a team environment and fit in with company culture and processes 
Effective professional oral and written communication skills
Must possess a strong work ethic and values that are above-reproach 
Strong organizational, interpersonal skills
