Job Description

The Carlsbad Technical Assistance Contract (CTAC), operated by North Wind Portage, has an immediate need for a business specialist to provide business and administrative support to CTAC management and CBFO technical staff in the areas of federal project planning, construction management, OSHA training, records management and tracking/or other related areas as approved by the CO.

The individual filling this position shall possess sufficient business related skills and knowledge to develop resource loaded schedules, prepare cost estimates, track costs, collect monthly accomplishments and produce monthly, quarterly or annual status reports, purchase materials and/or supplies in accordance with contract and Federal requirements and assistance on contract or procurement policies, problems, or issues; develop procedures and systems for assessing the effectiveness of policies, programs and processes; prepares reports on findings.

Qualifications
The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor Degree with five years of experience OR 10 years of relevant business related experience.

The candidate must have excellent planning, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization is required.

The qualified candidate must be competent in the Office suite and preference may be given to candidates with data base development and maintenance experience.

Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizens and will be required to pass a drug and alcohol screening. 

Some travel will also be required.

Business related skills such as development of schedules and cost estimates as well as the ability to track costs and other project features.
