Job Responsibilities
North Wind Group, a CIRI company, is seeking a Cyber Security Manager for the Knoxville, TN office.

Summary of Duties:

Lead strategic information security planning based on industry-standard.  Practices to achieve business goals by prioritizing defense initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future information security technologies.

Develop and communicate standards, policies, and procedures to ensure that
 organizational data and resources are protected from unauthorized and inappropriate
 use or access.

Remain informed on trends and issues in the information security industry, including
 current and emerging technologies and prices; advise, counsel, and educate executive
 and management teams on their relative importance and financial impact.

Develop and maintain an information security awareness program.

Define policies for the administration of all computer security systems and their corresponding or associated software, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, patch management, and anti-virus software.

Assess and communicate any and all information security risks associated with any and all purchases or practices performed by the company, including those associated with the ability of external third-parties; receive and handle organizational assets.

Manage and perform information security incident response and investigation activities
 as needed or requested over information security incidents and/or breaches.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • In depth experience and knowledge of enterprise IT concerns and technologies, including but not limited to: VPNs, network security, encryption, authentication, application-level network protocols, PKI, IPSec, Firewall, SSH, SSL, DES, IDS, wireless, Windows security/administration, LANIWAN, and TCP/IP.
  • DOE Clearance Preferred
  • An information security or other similar technical certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) is highly desirable.
