Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE: 

The Real Property Specialist supports all aspects of the Real Property program for the 611th CES remote sites throughout Alaska, Hawaii and Wake Island, including but not limited to records, data entry, inspections, assessments and support.  This position will report, maintain, and sustain all Real Property assets in the Facility Information Management System (FIMS) while ensuring data integrity through annual inspections and organized tracking. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employee shall provide the 611th CES with Real Estate/Real Property support for the facilities at the Alaska and Pacific Regional Support Center (PRSC) locations.
Support will include but not be limited to the following activities: (1) real property inspections for 611th CES, (2) asset validation and reporting, (3) real estate compliance inspection assistance, (4) linear asset validation, (5) historical asset updates, and (6) preparation of draft Acquisition, Real Property (DD1354), Real Estate (Licenses, Leases, Easements, Permits) and/or Disposal documents for review and signature by the Air Force.  Draft documents shall be submitted to the Air Force Project Manager for completion by the Air Force. 
In addition, employee shall provide support for the following duties and tasks:
Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to government property.  
Originate and process documentation required for all Real Property. 
Ensure assets are properly documented, labeled, identified and logged timely in the Facility Information Management System (FIMS). 
Maintain auditable backup data and files.
Supports all aspects of the Real Property Program to include but not limited to records, data entry, inspections, and assessments.  
Perform self-assessments and audits in accordance with client orders and contractual requirements to ensure data integrity.
Coordinates and interfaces with appropriate department personnel.  
Requires versatility and a willingness to support several activities with the flexibility to move between assignments.

Compile and write letters, reports, and studies as needed
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent; Associates or bachelor’s degree or equivalent in property management, preferred
Two (2) or more years of experience in real property related field
Department of Defense (DOD) and/or Air Force experience is preferred. 
Ability to pass a DOD National Agency Check (NACI) background check to obtain any required security passes, network access, and clean driving record

Skills and Abilities: 
Communicates clearly and concisely in speech and writing. Demonstrates understanding of and sensitivity to unspoken meaning and nonverbal cues. Facilitates communication across the organization and effectively interfaces with customer, contractor, and site personnel on a daily basis.
Requires good interpersonal skills in dealing with others (colleagues and clients) to ensure that customer requests and needs are met. Must acknowledge and clarify customer inquiries, requests, or complaints to ensure that needs are identified, documented and addressed.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions; ability to deal with problems involving variables in non-standardized situations.
Demonstrates effective use of MS Office applications, databases, systems, tools and other resources to reflect understanding and clear insights of processes and procedures. 
Ability to adapt to and maintain a safety conscious work environment.
Ability to demonstrate, conduct, and conform to a set of values and accepted standards, such as honesty, integrity, reliability, and accountability.
Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task, and perform work accurately and thoroughly.

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED: 
Bachelor’s or Associates degree is preferred.   Two year of Real Property experience required, DOD experience is preferred.   Ability to pass federal government and/or DOD background check required.  Existing background check and/or secret clearance is desirable.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:             
Ability to travel up to once every six weeks is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be sitting for long periods of time in an office environment.  Sedentary physical workload; must be able to exert up to a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; required to have a close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading; specific physical requirements include, but are not limited to, sitting, walking, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions.  The employee is often required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
The majority of the work is conducted indoors in a standard office environment.  The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
