Job Description

North Wind Solutions is currently seeking Project Managers to work in Albuquerque, NM.


Responsibilities include:

  • Provide input on the development and implementation of project/program management.
  • Align activities performed with project objectives and incorporate changes into scope, schedule, cost, earned value management, plans and the project environment.
  • Participate in and coordinate team members through project initiation activities to include: Developing the business case, undertaking feasibility studies, creating a project charter, determining resource requirements to meet the type and scope of work, presenting for division or program management center approvals, taking the ideas and intentions of the technical staff, articulating the need for / vision of the project, and convert it into a formal, planned, resourced, and funded project structure, ensuring a new project idea has well defined project goals, scope of work, schedule of activities, (overarching and task oriented by phase), identified constraints, key stakeholders, risks, project controls, an organizational structure, planned reporting framework gains commitment and approval of senior leadership, and a definition of completion with planned sign off for acceptance at completion.
  • Participate in and coordinate project rescue efforts with the ability to articulate and make the case for whether a troubled project should be rescued or closed.
  • Coordinate the review of project risk with management and provide status reporting.
  • Coordinate team activities on projects.
  • Provide guidance, direction, coordination, initiation of work, organization, and evaluation consistently in project execution systems.
  • Support operations from acquisition of new work through project execution and closeout.
  • Develop and implement baseline changes in accordance with NTESS approved change control processes and ensure that approved changes are incorporated and implemented.


  • Must be proficient in Primavera P6, Deltek Cobra, MS Office products.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business management or project management

  • 8 -15 years (depending upon level) of directly applicable experience in directing and managing projects or providing technical management in design, engineering, construction, startup and operations of complex technological systems and projects.

  • DOE Q or L

  • DOD Secret or TS

  • Candidates who do not have an active clearance but have had one of the clearances specified within the last 24 months will be considered. Preference will be given to those with an active specified clearance.
