Job Description
North Wind Group is currently seeking a Performance Assurance Specialist to join our team in Knoxville, TN! The Performance Assurance Specialist will be responsible for supporting implementation, providing regulatory requirements and standards for projects as assigned by the Manager of Performance Assurance.

Summary of Duties:
  • Support due diligence on contract transition and M&A projects
  • Perform systematic assessment of site conditions and contract requirements. Clients include DOE, DOD, and EPA. Regulators include OSHA, EPA, and various federal and state agencies
  • Provide support for Project Start-Up and Project Shut-Down teams
  • Conduct internal audits as well as support customer agency audits
  • Facilitate multiple improvements teams in applying quality tools and techniques to achieve results (i.e. Six Sigma)
  • Provide process improvement know how, methods, and conceptual expertise to teams
  • Support other assignments related to project management, as requested
Qualifications
Required Skills:
  • Must have demonstrated ability to form reasonable, independent judgement, and interpret requirements to balance needs of production and safety.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management, staff, and client as well as outside business associates
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively present information and respond effectively and sensitively to questions from client, managers, and staff.
  • High degree of sensitivity regarding confidential client and employee information.
  • Ability to advocate and enforce company policies, procedures, and employee programs
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and make decisions, solve problems, exercise good judgement, work under pressure, work with minimal supervision and prioritize workload.
  • Superior organizational abilities
  • Ability to take initiative to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment essential
  • PC-based computing experience (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) essential
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented tasks.
  • Strong business acumen, judgement and maturity with the ability to differentiate between strategic and non-strategic opportunities
Desired Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of business systems, policies and procedures, and the ability to apply that knowledge to the interpretation of customer requirements. Familiarity with government quality systems and processes.
  • Experience using corrective action plan tools and techniques
  • Experience with scheduling tools such as Primavera
  • Flexibility in working odd hours. Ability to travel with short notice.
