Job Description

The Director of Enterprise Application Support responsibilities can include, but not limited to:

  • Reports directly to the IT Program Director and manages all aspects of the Enterprise Application Support organization
  • Will coordinate with direct subordinates in the Software and Systems Engineering, Data Storage Management, Enterprise SQL Database Management Services, Oracle Database Administration and Management, Enterprise Web Hosting and IT Technical Document Writers organizations to effectively manage those functions
  • Will help facilitate DevSecOps as a primary guiding principle in all aspects and divisions of Enterprise Application Support
  • Will ensure organizational compliance to all customer directives, strategic plans and required processes
  • Will implement Agile Software Development methodologies within the organization
  • Will coordinate the creation and ensure the department compliance of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Program
  • Through the Software and Systems Engineering division provide support to internal and external customers in all aspects of software development and maintenance services in the areas of application architecture, analysis, development, data management, quality assurance, web support, and consultation
  • Through the Data Storage Management division provide technical analysis, planning, integration, maintenance and operations of enterprise data storage management services to ensure maximum availability of user data and available capacity in support of business and user requirements
  • Through the MS SQL and Oracle database divisions provide technical support to maintain and operate Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases to capture relevant information and produce meaningful reports to assist the customer in making business decisions and ensure maximum performance and availability for the applications and systems supported
  • Through the Enterprise Web Hosting division provide design, engineering, configuration, system integration, consulting, implementation, and support for core enterprise web hosting services
  • Through the IT Technical Document Writers division develop IT documentation, including maintaining compliant Software Quality Assurance (SQA) documentation consistent with the SQA programs and customer requirements
  • Will promote innovations, automations and efficiencies in the organization

This position is contingent upon contract award.


  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science or similar degree preferred. or professional work equivalent
  • Must have DOE Q might also need DOD TS Security Clearance.
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering and project management.
  • 5+ years of experience leading engineers in the development, delivery, and operation of software.
  • Advanced knowledge of software engineering practices, design patterns, metrics, validation procedures, security, infrastructure, operational activation, and operational support
  • Ability to implement DevSecOps within the Enterprise Application Support organization
  • Ability to implement Agile Software Development methodologies within the Enterprise Application Support organization
  • Experience with building, maintaining, and scaling customer facing applications
  • Ability to optimize software delivery and maintainability through the use of metrics
  • Experience in creating and managing world class teams in the fields of Software and Systems Engineering, Data Storage Management, Enterprise SQL Database Management Services, Oracle Database Administration and Management, Enterprise Web Hosting and IT Technical Document Writers
  • Experience in defining and monitoring KPIs
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate to all levels of talent
  • Solid problem-solving and conflict management skills
