Job Description
North Wind Solutions is looking for a full-time, temporary laborer to perform a variety of duties involving strenuous manual labor for heavy civil construction, in Huntsville, Alabama.  Tasks may include ditch digging, chain saw operation, debris collection, use of vibrating compaction tools, use of multiple hand-held or walk-behind tools, soil sampling support, truck wash high-pressure hose operation, load/unload/place various materials such as geotextiles or piping.
Qualifications
Position Requirement
3 - 5 years of increasing job responsibilities, primarily in construction, environmental remediation, and/or general industry working around heavy equipment.
Experience in work environments with exposure to all weather conditions and temperature extremes while performing various tasks/activities (e.g., climbing, walking, stopping etc.).
Physically able to perform job tasks, including lifting at least 50 lb alone.
Ability to communicate, both orally and in written form, and to maintain records related to the job.
Ability to read and comply with project direction contained in project-specific plans and procedures, and/or execute tasks after receiving verbal direction.
High School Diploma or equivalent degree
Must have a valid driver's license.
May be required to pass a pre-employment background check.
Must be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must clear a Government Limited Background Investigation

Preferred Requirements
Practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as concrete, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and soil/trenching work.
Forklift and small equipment operator
Experience in US Army Corps of Engineers projects is highly desirable
Experience on remediation/construction type projects is highly desirable.
