The Director of Product Management responsibilities can include, but not limited to:

As a Director of Product Management at Campaign Monitor, you’ll be responsible for leading an array of product line solutions and a team of passionate product managers who will look to you for mentoring, while enabling them to be successful and ensuring they have a clear focus & strategic direction. You will ensure the team operates efficiently, adhering to best product management processes & practices and enable them to make ROI-based decisions that maximize tactical and strategic business outcomes. Further, your team of product managers will interface with multiple customers, internal and external software development teams, to address the both strategic decision-making and day-to-day product life cycle management. You will be required to have the right tools in place to frequently report on your team’s progress and always tie back to the impact on overarching KPIs and strategy. Furthermore, you should understand & analyze market/competitive dynamics in order to ensure we are always ahead of the curve and positioned for success. You will need to instill a culture of empowerment, accountability, and adaptability, making sure the team remains focused through periods of change or ambiguity due to dynamically shifting priorities.

The Director of Product Management responsibilities can include, but not limited to:

  • Demonstrating superior analytical decision making and commercial aptitude, you will be accountable for the broader team’s investment efficiency, as well as quality and timeliness of deliverables
  • You must be able to build and foster close relationships with non-collocated stakeholders across the business and all the internal partners that contribute to your team’s success
  • Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing engagement with customers, partners with internal stakeholders
  • Develop and write positioning materials both internally and externally, reflecting the solution's unique value proposition
  • Drive and deliver enablement for sales, presales, partners and services organizations in support of new offering launches.
  • Work closely with highly technical managers and engineering teams to define and resolve product backlogs using Agile methodologies
  • Manage technology partner relationships that are in support of the business
  • The company presence requires someone who feels at home in a distributed environment, where effective communication is a “make or break”.
  • Leading product teams and delivering highly successful and innovative digital consumer products that maximize business outcomes
  • Extensive experience caring for, building, mentoring, and developing highly collaborative teams that aspire to exceed expectations and achieve great results
  • Significant experience in product development, investment prioritization, product marketing and product design
  • Data driven; Proven experience utilizing metrics & insight as the most powerful tools for informed ROI-driven decision-making
  • Experience in defining solutions that apply technology to complex business problems including business justification with ROI analysis
  • Comfortable moving with a sense of urgency, but sensitive enough to give people space/comfort to add suggestions and take them along on the journey
  • Experience coaching your team on how to experiment and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data to shape and enable product direction
  • Expert knowledge and practical application of Lean and Agile principles & Hypothesis Driven Development
  • Email marketing

This position is contingent upon contract award.

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science or similar degree preferred. or professional work equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience Product Management or related field
  • 7+ years of managerial experience
  • Ability to work equally well with business development, product marketing, program management, and engineering to drive successful product releases
  • Proficiency in establishing DevOps practices as applied with development partners through Agile
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and quickly to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Proven analytical skills and strategic thinking with an ability to translate technology into business benefits
