The Director of Cyber Security responsibilities can include, but not limited to:

  • Oversight of a cyber security program based on standards and requirements and management of resource pool of professionals to deliver a robust, compliant program.
  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with internal teams, business partners and vendors to design and deliver solutions and resolutions related to infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate leadership and understanding of business processes and risk management in areas such as cyber security, security architecture, governance, compliance, DevSecOps, data protection, monitoring and incident response, enterprise security architecture, and technology risk management, in both a diverse LAN/WAN environment and the public and private cloud.
  • Drive differentiated technology architecture and implementation discussions with clients related to cloud security; in particular, demonstrate expertise related to government requirements related to cloud service provider platforms including or not limited to: Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform and their embedded security, as well as multi-cloud security management technologies.
  • Demonstrated strong background in working with government requirements and frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST, ISO, and ITIL.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in enterprise cloud environments and knowledge of current IT environment and industry IT trends to drive strategy and innovations, and communicate this information to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations
  • Lead and execute a diverse team through the system lifecycle including, assessments, reviews, improvements, designs and/or implementation of security to identify improvement opportunities in the areas of process efficiency and security including but not limited to role-based security and identify and access management based on current environments
  • Build lasting client relationships through demonstrated excellence in engagement delivery and personal networking, support development, execution and delivery of solutions and information to the client to secure lasting client relationships
  • Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks and remediation methods to mitigate risks
  • Lead projects by utilizing adopted department methods, developing, and maintaining a project charter, project plan, and status report; managing all needs for assigned projects; identifying team members, measurements, and resource needs; and executing project plans and progress.
  • Maintain accurate system and network procedures and documentation for standards, assets, circuits, inventories, security configurations, audit controls, etc.
  • Oversee the installation, provisioning, and data protection of existing systems and networks including configuration of hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of a disaster recovery/business continuity plan. Work with IT leaders to test and ensure an actionable recovery.
  • Lead critical troubleshooting efforts and provide direction for issues in conjunction with vendors and infrastructure environments.
  • Evaluate current infrastructure investments and drive efficiencies for performance and financials.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science or similar degree preferred. or professional work equivalent
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Security Clearance
  • 10+ years of experience in some or most of the following areas, but not limited to : cyber risk management, security frameworks like NIST and FedRAMP, security assessment and strategies; compliance; solution architecture and design with emphasis on security, security operations and integration with cloud IaaS/PaaS/SaaS security platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure and Workday; IT risk management

  • 7+ years of managerial experience
  • Possess security certification such as CISSP/GSEC/CISA/cloud certification for Microsoft Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform or studying towards attaining the certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, leadership, business development, and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Applicants must be United States citizen, with ability to obtain a clearance.
