Job Description

The Recruiter is responsible for delivering all facets of the recruiting success throughout the awarded task orders. The Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent. This Recruiter will conduct passive and sourcing recruitment activities, meaning that you will also own candidate identification and engagement throughout the process. As a member of the NW team, the Recruiter will serve as the sourcing expert for a group of job families specific to the task orders awarded.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute recruiting plans, network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees; coordinate and implement college recruiting initiatives and administrative duties and recordkeeping. 
  • Partner with teams to build effective sourcing and assessment, with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations 
  • Build and maintain network of potential candidates through pro-active market research and on-going relationship management 
  • Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the organization, implementing any new processes and fine-tuning standard processes for recruiting to deliver the quality results to the customer
  • Participate in special projects/recruiting initiatives, including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques, leveraging of internal sources of talent and identification of top performers for the most ‘hard to fill’ openings
  • Work with hiring managers on recruiting planning meetings.
  • Create and update job descriptions as needed. 
  • Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position. 
  • Efficiently and effectively, fill open positions. 
  • Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation. 
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need. 
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting. 
  • Build networks to find qualified passive candidates. 
  • Post openings in newspaper advertisements, with professional organizations, and in other position appropriate venues. 
  • Post positions to appropriate Internet sources. 
  • Set up candidate interviews, disposition candidates, and verbal offers of employment.
  • Improve the company website recruiting page to assist in recruiting. 
  • Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment. 
  • Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates. 
  • Network through Industry Contacts, Association Memberships, Trade Groups and Employees
  • Locate and document where to find ideal candidates. 
  • Aid public relations in establishing a recognizable employer of choice reputation for the company, both internally and externally. 
  • Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads. 
  • Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates. 
  • Coordinate and Implement College Recruiting Initiatives 
  • Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition. 
  • Develop working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting. 
  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements. 
  • Conduct prescreening interviews. 
  • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). 
  • Assist in performing reference and background checks for potential employees. 
  • Assist in writing and forwarding rejection letters. 
  • Assist in interviewing and selecting employees onsite. 
  • Assist in preparing and sending offer packages. 
  • Assist in preparing and sending new employee orientation packages. 
  • Perform other special projects as assigned.
This position is contingent upon contract award. 
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years’ experience: OR
  • At least 7 years of experience in recruiting and human resources; OR
  • Any combination of experience and education exceeding 5 years of recruiting/human resources.
  • Experience with full cycle recruiting
  • Knowledge and experience in recruiting passive candidates at all levels.  
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Recruiting experience with at least 3 years in government contracting strongly preferred. 
  • Strong knowledge of Boolean, x-ray searches and additional sourcing software/tools 
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
