Job Description

The HR Supervisor shall report directly to the Program Manager with a gray line report to Corporate Human Resources.  This role shall oversee day to day HR activities and directs activities of other HR Specialists in the group. The HR Supervisor will also work directly with the Labor Relations Director to ensure cross compliance with company policy and collective bargaining agreements.  Oversees and performs all human resources functions including policy administration, compensation administration, employee relations, benefits administration and assisting with the recruiting and selection processes, including collecting data for EEO reports, etc.  Works under minimal supervision and handles significant confidential information. Demonstrates a personal commitment to safety and quality

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Oversees day to day HR activities and provides direction to others in the HR group.
  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; leads in implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Assists with the administration of the compensation program to ensure alignment with corporate compensation program.
  • Assists with the administration of the benefits program including change reporting and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Runs periodic reports to ensure data has been collected for various compliance reporting such as EEO-1, VETS-4212, etc. required for annual reporting
  • Maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Will aid in the recruiting of exempt personnel
  • Shall assist with conducting new-employee orientations
  • Handles complex employee relations counseling and outplacement counseling.
  • Conducts exit interviews.
  • Helps to ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Provides functional and operational direction to HR Specialists.
  • Will work directly with the Labor Relations Director.

This position is contingent upon contract award. 


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and at least 7 years of human resources experience, OR
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources Management and at least 4 years of experience in human resources, OR
  • At least 10 years of experience in human resources in a supervisory capacity, OR
  • Any similar combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of various employment laws and practices. 
  • Familiar with labor relations and union environment
  • Must be proficient with general computer use, e-mail, electronic calendars, word processing applications, spreadsheet applications, etc.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain at least a DOE “L” clearance.
