Job Description

North Wind Group is looking for a part-time temporary Intern for its Knoxville,TN. office. Local college level candidates with IT experience are preferred.

The IT Intern will be performing the following duties:

  • Develop Web and windows based applications
  • Work with the software development manager to create development plans 
  • Use software best practices 
  • Participate in the quality assurance process 
  • Participate in software testing process
  • Troubleshooting applications

Qualifications
  • Must be a high school graduate
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft .NET development in a work setting 
  • Excellent individual performer who rapidly and reliably completes tasks 
  • Good communications and writing skills 
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills 
  • SQL Server database experience
  • Building successful and secure software-based products as and individual or as part of a small teams
  • Developing WebForms and WinForms-based applications 
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check

Desired Skills:
  • .NET web development with VB.NET, C# and ASP.NET 
  • Databases - MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 
  • Advanced HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DHTML, XML, XSLT, AJAX 
  • Experience working with SharePoint
