Job Description

North Wind Group is currently seeking an individual to work with a team of software developers to primarily create custom apps (ASP.NET and C#), as well as other development tasks as needed. Build efficient, secure and scalable enterprise solutions for both internal and direct project clients. Collaborate with the development team and product managers to deliver quality solutions on time and within budget. Largely work in an agile environment and participate in daily stand-ups/scrum with iterative development. Design, write, test, and document application code.Candidate may be located in the following areas and must be willing to travel to those locations up to 10% of your time:- Knoxville, TN- Morgantown, WV- Greenville, SC- Idaho Falls, ID.The best candidate will be considered regardless of location, but the above locations are preferred.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have 5 years of applicable experience.

• Expert knowledge of Visual Studio 2017 and 2019, TFS and developing using Microsoft tools
• Expert knowledge of ASP.NET, .NET Core and C# 
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript and client-side programming
• Expert knowledge of MS SQL Server
• Experience with SharePoint administration, web part, event receiver timer job, and provider hosted app development for cloud and on-prem solutions.
• Experience with Powershell scripts and the Windows Task Scheduler.
• Create  SOAP/JSON RESTful APIs
• Troubleshoot and fix software issues
• Write, test, and maintain mobile and web applications 
• Implement interfaces from mock-ups or written requirements 
• Perform peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback 
• Identify opportunities for improvement in existing codebases 
• Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to business challenges 
• Follow best practices in architecting your code to provide maximum maintainability and adaptability 
• Maintain an understanding of cross-platform and cross-browser issues 
• Maintain an understanding of web security and various attack vectors 
• Adhere to the development team’s coding standards and conventions
• Write automated tests including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests


• Experience with Deltek products (Costpoint)
• Experience with React
• Experience with Kendo UI client library
• Knowledge of Node.js
• Knowledge of AngularJS
• Knowledge of SharePoint Designer 2013
• Exposure to mobile app development utilizing Flutter
• Experience with creating reports and data analytics
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Azure cloud resources
• Exposure to and Jira
