Job Description
North Wind Infrastructure and Technology is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Representative to work in Yuma, AZ.

Job Responsibilities are as follows:
  • Provide inspection of work in place, and review of construction submittals to provide an opinion or recommendation as to whether work is in full compliance with drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Provide inspection of construction contractor’s on-site plant (storage yards and temporary facilities), material and equipment, to provide an opinion or recommendation as to status of full compliance with drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Observe contractor’s and subcontractor’s performance work to provide an opinion or recommendation as to whether work is full compliance with drawings, specification, contractual requirements, EM 385-1-1 and OSHA requirements.
  • Provide technical support to the Government to include reviewing pay requests to provide an opinion or recommendation as to whether pay request accurately reflect the percentage of construction accomplished.
  • Review and provide input on estimates and schedules.
  •  Schedule and oversee construction inspections.
  •  Review and correct daily and monthly reports.
  •  Write Deficiency Reports and review and oversee corrective actions.
  •  Attend meetings as requested by the customer.

Work Schedule: 

Up to 12 hours per day/six (6) days per week.
  • 5 years of progressive experience as a Construction Inspector in earth work, concrete, or steel construction for projects greater than $1M in value.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc).
  • Valid US Driver's License
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
Desired Skills:
  • B.S. degree in engineering, construction management or other related discipline.
  • Experience with interpreting engineering plans and specifications.
  • Experience with authoring construction inspection reports.
  • Knowledge/Experience with USACE EM 385-1 and related documents.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
  • Experience performing work in southern California, Arizona and New Mexico along the southern USA/Mexico border.
  • Experience with USACE's Resident Management System (RMS)

*Employment will be contingent on passing a background check conducted by a federal government agency.
