Job Description


The North Wind Infrastructure and Technology, LLC  President is responsible for working with the North Wind Executive and Sr. Management teams (primarily Regional Managers) to define the company’s vision and provide the strategic leadership necessary to execute the vision through well-established long-range goals, strategies, plans, and procedures to capture and execute new and established projects safely and profitably. The North Wind Infrastructure and Technology, LLC (NWI&T) President will establish an Architectural and Engineering (A&E) Program and Organization to efficiently and effectively execute contracts for federal agencies, non-North Wind prime contractors, and commercial entities in addition to supporting the other North Wind Companies with A&E and Technical Services. NWI&T's primary NAICS code is 541330, Engineering Services with annual revenue ceiling of $16.5M for a five year rolling average. 



  • Set and execute the company vision and subsidiary business plan.Report on Progress. Set and execute the company vision.
  • Establish and Engineering Program that allows for efficient delivery of Engineering and Technical Services for North Wind Construction Companies and external clients/customers. 
  • Establish an operating organization that provides timely, compliant, and high quality Engineering and Technical Services. 
  • Serve as programmatic client interface. Prime directive: maintain positive, proactive interaction with all key clients.
  • Ensure company projects performance, client/contractual expectations, including safety and quality.
  • Develop and manage company budget, profit & loss, including revenue, indirect rates, overhead, profit and loss, and staff utilization.
  • Monitor subsidiary company budget utilizing corporate resources in finance and accounting. Generate new revenue for the company. Monitor and seek changes, as necessary, of the approved rate structure of the company. Work project financial aspects with Regional Managers.
  • Develop an annual operating budget that includes competitive utilization and pricing, maintains engineering qualifications, and advances the technical capabilities of NWI&T.
  • Oversee operations of subsidiary company through interactions with COO and Regional Managers.Assign projects to Regional Managers and work with Regional Managers to assign Project Managers.
  • Work project financial aspects with Regional Managers. Review project risks and establish contingency plans. Perform periodic reviews of project performance/corrective actions.
  • Responsible for safety and quality leadership. Demonstrate QA/Safety leadership. Meet safety goal of zero injuries and incidents
  • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates the organization’s fiscal function and performance
  • Actively participates in the development and implementation of the corporation’s plans, policies and procedures, and programs
  • Develops and provides budgets, regular financial reports and fiscal analysis regarding performance of organization to assist the NW Executive Team
  • Implements and enforces policies and procedures of the organization
  • Develops solutions and strategic plans to improve business operations and meet market challenges
  • Provides leadership for client relations, business development, marketing, and proposal strategy and development for engineering opportunities.
  • Educates and guides managers on project budgeting and resulting financial impacts
  • Supports the NW Executive Team in strategic planning and decision making, meets regularly with senior company leadership to make sure that decisions the organization needs are well-thought out and timely.Uses this team to spread ideas and direction throughout the organization until every employee understands their expected role and responsibilities for contribution
  • Evaluates and develops relationships with potential alliances and teaming partners to benefit the company
  • Develops a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting system
  • Provides team leadership that fosters NW’s core values
  • Develops a management team to effectively execute projects
  • Encourages education and training to help improve team members
  • Monitors managers, promotes and enforces accountability for project safety
  • Actively pursues new clients, markets, and regions for company business development
  • Manages proposals, estimates and negotiations with clients
  • Leads company to stay abreast of industry trends, processes and technical improvements
  • Evaluates employee performance
  • Promotes the company at industry meetings and conferences and represents the organization in professional association responsibilities
  • Leads the company with a clearly defined sense of business direction and purpose
  • Fosters a culture of integrity, values and ethics
  • Promotes the company vision creating, communicating and implementing the organization’s vision, mission, and overall direction.Making sure that the direction is communicated on a level that allows every employee to feel as if they are part of something bigger than themselves and that their role is strategically important to the organization.
  • Annually updates the NWI&T Vision, Traction, Organizer to align with North Wind values and financial performance objectives. 



Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management or related field required. Advanced education preferred.


Possess at least ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to fifteen (15) years. Relevant experience includes, but not limited to experience as a Senior Manager in the construction industry, federal government contracting, or engineering field with significant experience in leadership and management.
