Job Description
North Wind Infrastructure & Technology is looking for a Drafter/Designer.
  • As a member of the integrated engineering group, applies acquired design and drafting skills to design and develop 2D and 3D models, engineering design details, drawings and other supporting documentation.
  • Draft technical details.
  • Draw in minute details of structures.
  • Consult technical handbooks and tables while in drafting phase.
  • Use Computer Aided Design and Drafting systems to prepare drawings.
  • Create and store drawings electronically. Prepare variations of design. Prepare detailed engineering drawings.
  • Candidates will possess experience and proficiency in using CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Revit and/or Civil 3D.
  • Candidates will also be familiar with drawing control practices and have experience working with engineers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately, follow instructions/schedules/timelines and handle multiple priorities. 
  • Strong communication, prioritization and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff, and client as well as outside business associates. 
  • High degree of sensitivity regarding confidential client and employee information.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, and make decisions, solve problems, exercise good judgment, work under pressure, work with minimal supervision and prioritize workload.
  • AutoCAD
  • A minimum of one year of experience in drawing production is required, eight years’ experience is highly desirable. 
  • Associates Degree or equivalent technical/trade school degree or eight or more years of demonstrable experience in lieu of a degree is desired.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
