Job Description
Provides support efforts for Project Managers, Superintendents, Field Staff, and Executive staff.  They will assist in managing all aspects of project controls from the office to the field.  
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create, update and maintain a variety of project controls that track the status of: individual projects or task orders, changes to projects or task orders, RFI, shop drawings and submittal, matters involving quality controls, safety, financial performance, close-out and other aspects of the project(s) or task order(s).
Work with subject matter experts to create, review and process shop drawings and other submittals that are required to document the construction process. 
Assist in establishing, monitor, communicate and maintain project schedules utilizing scheduling software. 
Manage or support the management processes by updating logs, routing source documents to vendors, obtaining pricing, writing change orders and other related activities. 
Support the process of negotiating contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders including tracking materials delivery status to ensure timely arrival. 
Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions. 
Assist in ensuring that all aspects of the project are compliant with all contract terms and legal requirements that govern the project and the community in which the project(s) takes place. 
Establish and maintain relationships with the owner, design professionals, building officials, local businesses, and emergency support. 
Provide timely and cordial interaction with supporting work groups, such as accounting, HR, ICS, etc… 
Participate in management activities that are related to project closeout to ensure timely completion. 
Assist in tracking and submitting construction billings and cost codes including reviewing and coding invoices for payment. 
Assist in ensuring adherence to project budget and schedule. 
Preferred experience in Primavera P6 scheduling and cost loading projects. 
Preferred knowledge and understanding of critical path method (CPM) scheduling, cash flow. forecasting, and resource loading Primavera P6 schedules.
 
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Standard office environment.
Sedentary physical workload; must be able to exert up to a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; required to have a close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading; specific physical requirements include, but are not limited to, sitting, walking, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Indoor working environment, Satellite office supporting projects within multiple contracts. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent, and enrollment (senior year) in a Construction Manager Degree Program.

Possess at least one (1) year of relevant construction experience preferred.
 
Skills and Abilities: 
Excellent interpersonal skills; work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management, staff, and clients, as well as outside business associates.
Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively present information and respond effectively and sensitively to questions from clients, managers, staff and the general public.
High degree of sensitivity and ability to maintain confidential client and employee information
Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, Adobe or Blue Beam) 
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and make decisions, solve problems, exercise good judgment, work under pressure, and capable of prioritizing workload.
