Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Assisting the Project Managers and Superintendent in development of the project Statement of Work, schedules, resource plans, and budgets during the bid and proposal phase.
  • Perform periodic reviews of the project plans, technical documents, and analyze for adherence to the SOW.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with the government contracting specialist, project subcontractors and company back office support elements.
  • Assists in the identification of viable subcontractors and suppliers of project materials and equipment.
  • Monitors the progress schedule and its periodic revisions ensuring project status is up to date and on track.
  • Ensures site safety is at the forefront of each project.
  • Works with the PM and Superintendent to identify and resolve any project related issues/changes.
  • Coordinate and track meetings with government and subcontractors.
  • Prepares project reports, submittals and Request for Information (RFI).
  • Develops long term schedule, goals and projections for projects.
  • Actively works toward assuming full Project Manager role. 
Required Education/Skills: 
  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Understands and assists in the enforcement of all regulatory, base and company specific safety rules.
  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately, follow procedures and schedules, and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • High degree of sensitivity and ability to maintain confidential client and employee information.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products as well as Adobe or Blue Beam.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and fit in with company culture and processes. 
  • Effective professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and values that are above-reproach 
  • Must have strong organizational, interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check as well as a basic government background check in order to be issued a Nellis AFB access ID.
